In pre-digital days, if you wanted to make it look like elements were really sitting on the page, you had to set it up for real. That meant printing the copy onto a textural piece of paper while leaving accurate spaces for the bits of shoe and baby’s foot. On the day of the shoot, keeping the baby from kicking everything over was our biggest problem.
